In reply to Post #1 I’d use a chod hook for a D rig with a stiff mono or fluoro.

In reply to Post #4 Thanks Mark, I'll have another look with those I think and give it a go.

In reply to Post #1 It works well with chod hooks, many people use them for this rig.

In reply to Post #2 Thanks kells, sounds like you've tried it and moved on to something else. I've not done much with mono hook links apart from a chod so fancy giving it a go. I'll take a look at those hook patterns, thanks once again.

In reply to Post #1 I've used it in the past with both a wide gape and Drennan super specialist Barbel type pattern ( ESP call them something different now ) Ones beaked the others are strait point.. hook seems to sit really well with both patterns.

Not posted in a very long time due to having a go at float and feeder fishing. Anyway back on topic, I'm looking at trying a mono d rig. I already have some 20lb amnesia line which I've tied up some rigs with but when using with a curve shank hook the gape is closed quiet a bit as the hook is curving up if that makes sense but with the chod hook it's almost straight with not much of a curve. So my question is what hook do you guys who use this rig like to use. Thanks in advance.
