Has anyone got or seen the jrc XTX reels in person and can tell me what they're like, as in feel...cheap? Decent?
Adam penning has done a video on Youtube but he's a salesman and loves to push a product!
My main reels are affinity 3 7000s which I love but I want a slightly smaller similar reel for my 2.75 12ft infinity rods and am looking at the 6000 size.
Aren't JRC basically Penn as owned by the same company probably in same factory?

I'm pretty certain Sven sports used to distribute the likes of jrc,Leeds,penn etc because when I worked at go outdoors that's who used to deliver them in massive boxes but I'm going back over 10 years ago now so may have changed

Yes they're definately owned by the same company, just wondered if anybody knows if they'd be the same kind of quality as Penn?

Not necessarily. Pure fishing own numerous brands from some of the most expensive, Hardy, to some at the cheaper end of the marketplace such as Shakespeare.

I doubt it. They bought up well established brands, with there own manufacturing arrangements. They may have streamlined some of their facilities but not all. ie some Penn reels are still made in America, some in China. Top end Hardy rods are made in the UK, lower ranges are made in Korea I think.

Can't comment reliably on the JRC reels..
But I had a go on two versions of Penn Rival 6000 size reels..the back carpy version and the gold spool ,salt resistant version,they also do a blue lip spool version..
I thought they were smart solid tough looking reels ,I don't need or want new reels,but if I did ,I'd look at those mentioned or Okuna 6000 inception

Yeah I think I'll take the plunge on the jrc, really not a fan of daiwa reels though, I've had a few sets, cheap and expensive and just not for me.
