How about just buying a local club book? Most would be discounted with such a short time left to run. Would probably work out cheaper than paying day ticket money for a week.

Is linear open over Xmas?

Moor lakes is just within that radius and worth a look, reduced rate for winter available I believe.

I don’t fish there either but
With bailiffs living on site I think it would be open

I'd rather boil my face than fish there.

To the op, ring around a few that you fancy and ask

Albans lakes may be possible
Would have thought most day ticket venues close Xmas day though
