thx for replying, ive got a set of mint 1400xtd but she wasn't to know so I'm selling the xtds and keeping the emblems. it was a thoughtful present off her.

Not the emblems, but had a lot of daiwa reels and always just use them as they come out the box. Nice little christmas present that

hi guys, the mrs clocked me looking at these reels and bought me a set for xmas. I know each reel can be different but when spooling up have you had to add or take off any washers for a completely flat linelay.

Hi ALL
Would like to say a big thank you to all who.. replied to my question manual bail arm, been InTouch with Daiwa, they confirmed the Daiwa Emblem 45 SCW QD Reels do have a manual bail arm.
I would take that goes with there higher brand reels also..

There are some on ebay, I think you can get them from daiwa too. I just Swapped them from my entohs and emblem spod, it actually improved both sets of reels in the process imo.
I didn't have any dedicated drag oil so I just used the sewing machine oil I use for centrepins
