James Sherman again. He had three this weekend from Frimley, including Charlie's Mate at 51lb12oz. White S2 crushed corks as always for Jim. The bloke has had a truly incredible carp catching year.

In reply to Post #305 Sorry Jim for the late reply, I've been in Brazil for the past two weeks on a last minute birthday trip to see my fiancee. I hope you're all well.
Any of the S range are lethal in the winter Jim (S2, S3, S4), but the Garlic should surpass even all of those for cold water form this winter. While I have been away in the sunshine, I saw that Cam the MOD has been catching some nice cold water carp on the Garlic alongside DNA freezer baits.
Gary Watton (who's completely deaf) has been having some lovely fish on our S4 alongside ABS freezer baits since the temps really dropped, as he always does. One of these photo's it had been - 4 that morning in England with heavy frosts.

Before the S2's release to the public, I caught more cold water carp from Walthamstow than anyone ever had before over a few freezing cold months, I was told by the people who run it. I had an extraordinary amount of big carp, when the temps were absolutely bitter. (Best day was eight stunning twenties and two thirties). The S2 has exceptional cold water form...It's almost not fair on the fish using S2's in late winter/early spring. But any of the S range are just as good. As I said before, the GPB1 will be even better. I have always loved my winter carping, so any hook baits we make has to produce the goods in the winter.
I just want to be back in the sun . I left Brazil on Monday, where the temps were a constant 32-40 degrees all of the time I was there.... I got a massive shock to the system landing at Heathrow Tuesday morning, where it was bloody freezing!

In reply to Post #305 Hi,
I am sure Mark will reply in a bit, but the S2's have always been great for me in the winter. This will be the first winter for me trying the Garlic's alongside them.
Cheers

In reply to Post #302 For the sake of truth...
The fully-scaled was actually on an S2 CC + B5 (double bait)
The other 2 were GPB CC + B5 (double bait)
Both fished over about a dozen B5's.

Carpforum regular Keebs, has very kindly allowed me to show these. It's not about the size with these fish, it's all about where they were caught from. A notorious monster ressie in Southern England. Great captures from Paul... I've been willing him to have a proper chunk all summer... It will come mate!
GPB1 crushed corks over shellfish B5.
