Tell you what Mark, I'd like to know how many are using your baits and claiming not to be, especially now they are available elsewhere

He's not going there. To be fair to Sticky, we get no problems with them anymore regarding any of that. I personally think that situation was very dependent on who the current media manager is/was previously. There were times in the past, when that position was filled by anglers I was actually fishing the same lakes as. There was ovbs a certain amount of bitterness there because of when they had their arses handed to them in an angling sense.

Plus back then, they wanted the Manila, to have actually been the S2. But that would have involved me selling out before we had even started. People involved closely with Sticky, knew exactly how devastating the hook baits were first hand.

Good luck to Dan seriously. I hope it all works out well for him. He's moving to France to open a lake, he will no longer be fishing places that require the hook baits anyway to be fair.

I literally don't care anymore mate. It used to bother me a hell of a lot... But now I don't care. I get to make my living from my life long passion, what's the point in worrying about stuff like that? It's a good thing right?

Of course it's still going on and always will be. A good angler is not going to give up his edge. But as my friend the shopkeeper Gary Peet kept telling me... Just take the money and smile.

Ever since SHB started there has always been a pattern regarding sales. If we post something on social media that gathers 2000+ likes and gets seen by say 120,000 anglers. That will bring a noticeable surge in sales.

But there has always been something that brings a far greater surge in sales. An angler will have a special set of results. We might not even get to see the photos... But we see the surge in sales from the part of the country where those results came from. It has been happening from the start. It's got more and more regular. When an angler starts getting incredible results on a proper lake... Everybody else finds out pretty quickly, they tell their mates, and we get that surge in sales.

The big carp grapevine actually brings us far more sales, than a post that gets clicked on by 120,000 anglers all across Europe on social media. Long May that continue too.

I'd say we still get sales anyway from the anglers from other firms you mention. Everybody knows. You can't keep nothing like a hook bait secret on a proper lake when someone is hauling. I've been told so many times over the years by customers “yeah he actually had that on an S2 I was there when he netted it” 😆

Merry Christmas all...

Lake was frozen solid on Tuesday. Weds & Thurs Ricci managed five bites on the GPB2. Best one 37lb+.

How long do the S2s last for, I bought a tub of 12mm popups and some 17mm balanced, back in March - I assume they're ok just stored in a dark, dry environment?

They will be fine. I've got tubs I've had for many years now and they are still just as good

Thanks!

They still smell amazing, but I just thought I'd check, as I don't know much about them, or what preservatives are used, but I'm sure they're fine.

Is that the yellow chocolate one? If so I had a few fish last winter on it and sure I had one on it over christmas.

I'm a sucker for a pot of hookbaits and reckon I must have close to 30 pots of Marks baits 😂 I usually just chop and change between all his various baits as they have all served me well over the years

Happy new year all.

Quote Goose.... And be sold out by the end of the week, anyone going in there is going to have a sniff and get their cash out.

Graham, you are Mystic Meg. They sold an incredible amount just before and over Xmas, and ordered loads more last week. That's why I have not been online. I have loads of fish pics to post when I get a chance.

Pretty worrying for me, exactly how much they sold and how quickly, at the slowest time of the year.
Are you sure?
