Don’t take it as gospel but a while back he announced that his books would be closed to new customers, instead focussing on supplying his previous customers with what can cooked up and shipped without swarming himself without a silly work load.
Your best bet would be getting stuff ordered through any mates that are previous customers from him. Hope this helps

Thanks for your replies.

I have read about the 12fts feeling a different rod compared to the 12.6 I think some rod builders had commented on previous threads.
TBH not mega ranges, I would say I can fish comfortably currently upto 120 yards with my current rods (greys aircurves 12 3.25tc).
I'm not looking for an out and out distant rods just something to be made up and keep as a personal touch and be used as an all rounder.

Hi all

I'm after some advice on blank options.
I've had a play with a mates torrix's 12ft 6 TE and found them very comfortable to cast and play fish on, but have been looking at the aviators in the same length. Are these an improvement on the Torrix in terms of playing action and casting? Or am I just thinking because it's a new model that it's an improvement on what is already a top end rod when in actual fact it's not?

Any help or personal experiences are welcomed.

I have felt the same for the past couple of years, post covid tbh! I think busier lakes and balancing time to get out on the bank it's easier to get down about not being able to get on fish and just head home or not even get the gear out the car.
Just got to break that cycle and get out again, doesn't matter how much you prep or sort your kit it's never the same to when you're doing it on the bank.

I wouldn't stress too much about the colour of the boat mate, you won't look a noddy if it's not green, how it's handled on the lake will though.
The size you're looking at would be perfect for spot finding and baiting up, you'll be amazed how tight things get inside a rib once you've got an aqua scope, battery and a couple of buckets.

Does anyone have any information on the lakes mentioned?

Hi mark you've previously mentioned about writing a post regarding hookbaits maybe in the older thread before it was removed? You said how it would change our thinking and approach regarding hookbaits, is the post still coming or has it been shelved?

I've been looking at getting a set of rods built as a wedding gift to myself.
Is there much of a difference in performance between the aviator 12.6 and the torrix 12.6 TE?

Hi Mark, will you be doing other variations of the GPB2 of other brands such as sticky's krill? 🤞🏻
Are you sure?
