got one of the bivvys last year and to me it seems like they really have put a thougt into it really easy to put up an seems prettty sturdy to me .way better than the sonik axs that i had before. i only had it out for 4 nights before winter hit us up here in sweden but it seems to be really well made.

You actually get more leveragepower with a sorter Rod.
There was an comparison in a swedish flymagazine a few years ago. A 15fot salmonrod hade less power than a ninefot Rod.

used tear aid on waders whit a 5cm hole in and it held me dry while flyfishing for a season. should be good enough to patch a hole in a bivvy.

i dont think there will happen alot to carp rods over the years they are not cast that mutch. i have been flyfishing alot with two handed speyrods and they go soft after a few years or at least used to .i guess its the the residue in the blanks thats wears out after time.
