I've got a canon 700d. Less megapixals than the nikon but great camera.. flip round screen too and 399 at currys at the moment with the 18-55mm kit lens which means you could get the ef 50mm 1.8 lens too and still be in budget for the out of focus backgrounds.. great lens for the money. Not ideal if your capture shots are in very tight swims as you need the camera back a bit with the focal length on a crop sensor. You don't need to be a mile away and you get great shots. Hope this helps

Evening guys. Do polarising filters have the same effect as polarised sun glasses do in reducing surface glare? So as to use with a telephoto zoom lens to locate and identify fish from distance.

Watched one of the vids last night in bed. Comes across as a real down to earth bloke that could get on with anyone. Proper made me laugh a few times... missus in black victorias secret gear and he can't stop thinking 'bout angling . And his steve mclaren moments with the accents?... is he taking the michael or not??
Good stuff fella, keep those vids coming.
