I am about ready to pull the trigger in the purchase of a new barrow, but have to buy sight unseen, as I live in the U.S.
I was all set to gyevthe Fox Transporter ,via J.Ross, until I saw that they have the new Solar Southwesterly barrow, which caught my eye.
Both look good on spec/features and I am tempted to get the Solar, as thier gear is usually top notch, build quality wise.
What I can't see on their bourh, is whether or not the main barrow bag and mesh side bags are accessible from the sides.
I'm guessing they would have mentioned it if it were so ?
Anyone know the answer ?
If they aren't, I think I will stick to my original plan and get the transporter.

I have the original Fox explorer deluxe and after many years of using carp porter models it was a breath of fresh air being able to easily fish off the barrow just a brilliant design
and now they have improved it so IMHO this has got to be the best buy
I would get the Fox Transporter

I loved my fox explorer deluxe and only switched as wanted a power barrow.I have sold the power barrow as hated the three wheel design,I've ordered the Fox power barrow but it's not due til February now,I think the build on the Fox barrows are very good

Pretty much everything I've owned from Solar has been well thought out and excellent quality.

I've not seen their barrow though.

What I will say is the Fox Transporter has a bracket in front of the wheel to put bags on, and you can alter how long/short this is to suit - this will help with the main weight being over or near the wheel, which is good for being able to steer and move etc.

Fox gear can for me be hit or miss - but my transporter barrow is one of the best pieces of fishing kit from any brand that I have seen.

In what way is it junk, mate?

I saw lots of complaints about the explorer barrow by fox about the screws and threads going, so I am not so confident that will be different in the transporter barrow?

Any more input on the South Westerly Barrow? I can buy one new for a lot less now and I like the looks of it.
Are you sure?
