Can anyone recommend a luxury fishing lodge ideally with a hot tub that's dog friendly?
I'm in Surrey and wiling to travel south to Devon / Cornwall and North to the Cotswold / Midland area.
Stafford Moor Fishery looks amazing but is almost fully booked for 2024

As you're probably finding, it's not easy to find one. I found the vast majority of well reviewed ones to be booked up well in advance, direct or on the booking sites.

Don't know distance wise but we've been to head fen cathedral lodges twice now. We've been lucky as both times the other 3 lodges have been empty or non fisherman, had 20s both times, a near 30lb cat this September too. Worst case is fish one of the side swims and cast across to reed line which are a 100 yard walk from lodge. It's getting a bit rich for us as a group now but plenty of fish were caught.

You may find all the meathead dog owners who let their dogs crap everywhere and not clean it up after have shafted all the good owners so most just say no dogs now

Probably the case.
I'm also really struggling to find a decent day ticket fishery that allows dogs now as well.
I don't want to take the dog all the time, but there are times that my wife wants to sit by a lake to read a book and relax along with our pup, while I fish. It can make for a nice family day out.

If you are in Surrey, maybe have a look at getting a Farnham Ticket? No lodges im afraid but a choice of many lakes and dogs are allowed. Think its £160 but it means you dont have to fork out every time you want to go fishing.

Exact same scenario and it fishes me off. You go abroad and you'll see families doing that same thing and I dont think I'm wrong in saying the vast majority of people would respect it.
I made enquiries to 2 local clubs this summer about doing exactly what your asking. Both have stretches on public access rivers and canals, or joint use public/private of lakes, both where dogs are allowed with members of the public.
Both said my wife would need to have a membership to accompany and both said no dogs.
They said it was because I was representing the club and she'd be with me. No doubt due to insurance or land use agreement.....yeah...some common sense would be nice. Perhaps I should tell her to sit 20 yards away and ignore me, that'd be o.k then ?
Syndicates I've been a member of have been far more flexible, not that I did it, but others did and there weren't any problems.
Its obviously preferable for responsible anglers and whoever accompanies them not to be on the bank, far better it be poached etc etc,

My local club waters allows partners and dogs. It works fine and does not seem to be abused. Thankfully my wife is not interested
