I cant access people's profile as the profile icon is "greyed out/no access" ... Is that everyone or just me? ..... Shame if so as was handy to view where people are when have something for sale or when searching for an older thread you know someone has posted on

Click on their name or their profile pic. It looks like the little icon in the top left of that box is an upgrade on the online/offline/not sure dot.

If I post a reply the text box is all black
The tick box on all the “forums” is black
Feedback forum I have to click and hold and open in back ground for it to open
Message tools web link and the one above I can't read those lol

Karl is online so he might be having a play with things. I hope so, all the lines that separate the sections and posts have been missing on Safari for a week or so (don't know if that was intentional).

If Karl is reading .... just a suggestion but if when hitting reply to a post it pre-populated the new post with the original post responding to ... that would also be very helpful

Thanks for the feedback, I will try and answer (or confirm) the below questions/answers
Profile link: Yes, I removed the link because it's easier to click the profile pic or username. Also, from the geek viewpoint, it's less text being sent from server to client each time.
I've just changed the profile icon again to a circle or circle with a tick. These icons will be coloured as they used to be
Grey: Online more than10 mins ago
Yellow: Online 5 to 10 mins ago
Red: Online within last 5 mins
Name/Location: Now you mention about using the link to see peoples name and where they are from...I am thinking maybe I could show that on the hover
e.g. You hover over my profile picture and the tooltip shows "View the profile of Karlos (Karl)"
I could add the county in that tooltip...I don't think letting people know what county you live in is a security risk.
Hmmm, (thinking out loud), there was a field when users registered called 'location' which holds a value which is not necessarily part of the address they need to enter to get into classifieds section. Maybe I will use that field because then the user can enter "South East" or "Up North" or whatever they want to be shown as their location...
This would mean their address remains correct and the users chooses how accurate they want their location reported (if at all, they could leave it blank or put a hyphen there)
Black text box/check boxes: This is useful to know, is doesn't happen on my PC/devices. I think, from reading orther comments and testing on my iPad, that this is a Safari issue. I will see if I can get around it...but if it's a big pain to you I'd suggest using Chrome is you can put that on your device. Chrome and Safari were both developed from the same code base (Chromium) but Chrome gets far more attention (being Google owned) and worked better on all devices. Even if you ONLY used Chrome for CarpForum and used another browser for everything else (if you don't like Chrome for some reason)
Feedback forum / link: This sounds odd...I guess you are trying to just click it from the homepage? I'm not getting this...does it only happen on that one forum!?

Hi Paul,
There used to be a "quote" button which would take the message you were replying to and put that in your new message to get the ball rolling.
It's not something anyone's asked for...until now!
Maybe something I can add in the coming months, I can see how it would be useful sometimes...to avoid ambiguity and confusion

@Bob (Post #12) - Fixed sir...I was mucking around implementing a few Google (Lighthouse) suggestions last night, and one of the ones I actioned caused that...so I have reverted it
