The words "old warrior" get thrown around in carp fishing way top often on fish that dont deserve it.....but that fish really would fit the description.

Some nice words from Lee Walton on that fermenting your freezer baits post from the other day. If you do not know who Lee is, I bet most of you will have used one of the freezer baits he's designed at some stage. Lee formulated the Krill for Sticky baits. Before his time with SB, Lee was a very integral part of Nutrabaits, when they were among the market leaders.... Over the past decade, the bait Lee formulated, has probably been in direct competition with our hook baits more than any other bait... On a lot of the best syndicates in the country. Loads of respect for Lee. He's a great angler, who has nothing at all to prove regarding bait. The Krill, is likely the best selling freezer bait in the country these days I'd imagine. His words mean a lot.
Marcus Watts who formulated The Source, was one of the first people to like that post on Faceache. Massive respect for Marcus.

Did quite well last winter soaking my freebies in his active CSL for a couple of days before i went. Don't know why I haven't used it this winter

We live in an internet age of 'influencers' James nowadays. Before that, the mags were not that much different in reality, not when you really think about it. Marcus and Lee are behind the two of the biggest selling freezer baits of all time. They helped so many young carpers achieve PB's over the past 20 years. A lot of young carpers would not even know their name.
Both safe enough in their own accomplishments regarding carp bait though, to publicly acknowledge someone else.
We are now so stupidly busy, I've been told I am not allowed to say another word on the internet... Not ever. I was working flat out until 23:00 on Sunday night. I have not had a day off for three weeks now, I really need it, but it simply ain't going to happen

This week, is also a pretty important week for me in my 'other' work. I have to combine the two. I was up making mixes and liquids at 4am this morning, just to try and work around Cheltenham.

But one at a price worth backing for a pound or two each way is 'Sa Fureur'. It runs in the Coral Cup tomorrow at 14.50. It's 25-1 with bet365 right now who are paying 7 places for the e/w. 14-1 with most other bookies who are paying 4 or 5 places. That is big value. It's the horses handicap debut, but the shrewd trainer G Elliott would not be bringing a novice for this race, if he did not believe the horse was extremely well handicapped. Best jockey in the race onboard. 25-1 is well worth a pound or two of your money right now. Back it e/w.

I am quite certain this angler below Rob, holding the big Kent scaly, caught the CV fish above first on an S2 as well. But I never saw that photo.
