Last year, the old man in Portugal who made all of the quality cork balls for UK carp fishing unfortunately died of Covid. Ever since his death, obtaining large quantities of quality 12mm cork balls, which we use in our 16mm cork ball hook baits has become impossible. For months this past summer, they were literally impossible to obtain in the quantities we require. All year our cork supplier has been promising us that the situation would be resolved... But it has not been. Prices are increasing at a stupid rate now because supply is very limited. Between myself (who speaks fluent Portuguese) and Gary Peet of the Tackle Box, we have been trying every supplier of cork in Portugal ourselves too, all to no avail.

I have made the decision that we are going to stop selling 16mm cork balls. These are all being removed from our website this week. The crushed cork pop ups, are a far superior hook baits anyway... We can get far more of our liquid cures into them than we can the cork balls.

The 12mm cork balls will remain on our website in all variants, because we have a very large supply of the cork balls required to produce these, that will last a long time. But unfortunately the 16mm are all being removed now. In comparison to crushed cork pop ups, we now sell a fraction of the amount of cork balls anyway. Although the 16mm cork balls are being removed from our website... There are some new versions of our products being added.

S3 page... Red S3 crushed cork pop ups to be added. White S3 crushed cork pop ups to be added.

GPB page... GPB1 13mm crushed cork pop ups to be added.

These above, are being added this week, or early next as soon as the developers can get it done.

After Xmas, balanced S3 in both red and white, pink balanced S2, plus GPB1 & GPB2 bottom bait barrels are being added as well.

This morning, I dropped off lots of stock for both the Tackle Box & Fish On tackle.

Both should have them on their shelves/websites in the next day or so.
