You must of put something very special in those Hookbaits mark...

I also won some on instagram and 2nd trip out with them had a p.b of 52lb 6oz. Some kind of voodoo me thinks 😂

Yesssssss Tony! Bloody well done.

PB's on freebies... It does not get any better than that. That's just madness, two of you comp winners catching new pb's and both 52lb+

Tony kindly just sent me a photo. He's also had 5 x 30's up to 37lb+ since he won some GPB2 a few weeks ago.

52lb6oz, ‘Mikes Pet' from Wraysbury, new pb GPB2. Well done Tony 🥳

Hi, I've just ordered a pot of these and wondered how long each bait would typically last.

Is it a case of changing after each fish or 24hrs etc.

Thanks in advance

No mate, there is absolutely no need to change after every fish, or every 24 hours. The white S2 you have ordered will last days in the water and remain attractive. I've had so many fish on the hook baits, after they have been in the water for 3 days. I know many, many customers fishing incredibly tough venues who leave them out for 72 hours plus and are still catching. That 55lb+ common I caught from Theale Lagoon last year came on a hook bait that had been in the water for 48 hours plus.

One of the biggest advantages of our hook baits is the natural cork, and how we utilise that cork. It is not just about buoyancy, it is also there to retain liquids, and leech them out at a much slower rate than the base mix does. It's kinda like a two stage release of the liquids. Long after there is no smell in the bait to your nose, there is still liquid in the outside edge of every bit of cork inside the baits.

I cannot stress enough, they were never created to be sold to you. Think about that for a minute because it is very important. No one here decided one day.... "I'm going to start a business selling pop ups"... And ten minutes later created a range to be SOLD to you as a punter. Our hook baits were purposely designed for fishing on the toughest of venues in the UK. Never to be sold. That was just a natural evolution, because they caught so many more fish than anything else, and good anglers notice these things. Whilst fishing venues like the Ocean in Kent twenty years ago, long before SHB was even a thing, I needed a hook bait that could be left out for days on end, and remain attractive. That was the S2 which you have ordered, it just did not have a name back then.

Leave them out for days if you have too. Even when every bit of liquid is long gone, they are high grade food... Not some two bob milk protein crap mix, that goes into 99% of pop ups on the market. Which needs to roll like a dream en masse, float and remain like a rubber ball... Powders, that you would never put anywhere near a quality freezer food bait as a bait maker. Feed them filet steak, but cast out a baked bean. Never made any sense to me. But they are big money spinners with big profit margins for the bait firms. Roll em for pennies and sell them for big profit margins.

Leave any of our hook baits out for days in confidence mate. Fishing a prolific venue I would expect to catch two or three fish on every hook bait personally.

Later when I get a chance I will replace the photos lost in the recent forum crash.

Hi does anyone know if you can pay for a few samples of these hookbaits? Having never seen any in person don't really want to spend £40 on a couple of pots before having a look. Times are hard😐

I'm not sure if they do samples but I would say just buy a pot, once you see them you will want them. I currently have pop up's, wafter's and bottom baits of all the varieties in various colours apart from the S3's. At one point I had 22 pots.

If they don't do samples, I expect they may as they are very helpful, PM me ur address and I'm happy to send a mix.

No problem. Personally at this time of year I'd go pink or white s2, or an s4, in warmer weather I cant resist either GPB1 or 2.....my mate only buys s3 and occasionally nicks my s2's.

They are all very good, I tend to fish 3 rods with a different hookbait on each as I can't decide my favourite.

Interesting to put different SHB baits on the three rods. I have done that a few times and found that on any particular day the bites tend to come from one bait, even when fished in different parts of the swim. Last time out it was S3, while others baits didn't get a beep. Is that your experience too?
