I see Moeen Ali has retired from test cricket probably pissed off at being mucked about by the selectors.
Over the last few years been more a victim of a batting line up not putting enough runs on the board and a

So they have named the Ashes squad suprised Mahmood not in there.
Really need the top six to contribute to put decent scores on the board.

Wood will be crucial, the rest of the seamers are all too similar.

There should be a decent few players in the big bash, not bad having Livingston Roy vince... If the batting isn't working, I don't know who will be there as a bowling option tho, Gregory usually plays in it but I think we'd be really struggling if we drafted him in

He's a great batsman but I don't rate his captaincy very highly.
Defensive fields letting the pressure off, poor use of spinners and bowling the quicks into the ground.
I think woakes will be a key man for us, if he can find a decent rhythm and hold an end for good spells it'll keep Jimmy and woods workload down. If he gets spanked round the park and Jimmy has to bowl 30 overs an innings we'll be in trouble.
Robinson will be one to watch on bouncy pitches, I'm not expecting to see much of broad after such a long lay off.
I'm tempted to stick a tenner on pope being top scorer, I think hell relish those pitches

I see mahmood and parkinson are in the lions squad, strange call on mahmood tho unless they want to see if he's over the injury. I would have thought competitive cricket in the big bash would be a better warm up than those tour games.

I can't watch cricket and work at the same time tho.
Didn't find any commentary and Google isn't giving me a station for today's game either.
Interesting comments from Morgan about dropping himself, on current form he doesn't even make the squad, but he is a very good captain. Is there room for a specialist captain?
I think malan at 3 doesn't leave room for him, just because if he doesn't click he soaks up so many balls in the process the lower order have to come out striking at 2 a ball from ball one to get a decent total.
