Received my GPB2 through yesterday. Looks and smells incredible. Taking them to France with me tomorrow, fingers crossed I get results like below 👀

Only if there are very large amounts of small silvers in the water Ken. I leave them out for 24 hours on the river Thames... This is always my barometer to a hook bait being durable enough in a 'lake' situation. If they will last 24 hours in flowing water with small fish attacking them... They are good to go on a lake.
Small silvers & naturals attack them like piranhas to get at the pre digested & garlic cure. I would only bother meshing them, if I was ever to lose them off the hair. I've not lost one off of the hair before, despite leaving them out in the river all night plenty.
They do wash out incredibly quickly though, I would recommend larger than normal bait stops, I tend to use the extender stops on the Thames which have a very large top to them. Small bait stops are not the one for the GPB2.
I gave some to Gary Peet of the Tackle Box early last year, he used them on a southern river all year long and caught loads on them. He did not lose any off the hair either, but did comment to me how soft they go, and how much the silver fish love them, exactly the same as I have found.
After 24 hours, I still find you will have a harder core in the centre. We have sold absolutely tonnes this year, and have not had one single complaint, only messages of incredible catches being made on them. It's just something that needs to be considered mate, they do soften very quickly indeed. Far quicker than our other hook baits. Bigger hair stops will be fine though.

Have you ever shrink tubed the baits TC?
I tend to do that when in france. Slower leakage i know, but more confidence when leaving rods out for longer periods of time when crays etc are present

Getting that level of CPSP 90 into a boilie and still have it be usable as a bait is worthy of a Nobel prize nomination, nothing less.

ive been doing it for yr in france for the reasons i mentioned, but also in winter on shallow estate lake, stops the coots pulling hookbaits off.

Its actually ( with respect to mark, he knows I rate his knowledge ) quite easy with hookbaits, feed is another matter, but it all depends on what else is in there, with hookbaits you aren't taking up the large proportion usually attributed to dietary requirements, you can balance the binders and solubles more to make a bait perform how a hook bait should.
CPSP90 is a very very good additive one of my favourite predigested fishmeal's, its brilliant at 50% in hook bait paste wraps and will be equally effective in a hookbait.
for feed baits I tend to recommend 5-25% depending on the other ingredients used and intended application.

I've got a huge level of experience with that ingredient and gave an ambiguous example of amounts for a feed bait that might compliment the hookbaits ( if customers are so minded to do so ). But then again you seem to not like contributory posts on this forum anymore Joss.

I've said before the catch pictures in this thread speak for themselves. Not so obvious from the pictures but many of these stunners are from hard waters fished by some very good anglers and these guys have total confidence in Marks hook baits which speaks volumes for the bait. What sets Mark apart from some of the very knowledgeable bait gurus is that he is also a very good angler with the ability to assess his work himself and tweek it until he is happy to release it for the customer.
