Yeah my mate's a season ticket holder at The Oval so hopefully will go to one of the home games as a guest only a half hour walk for me.

Get him to get you tickets for the test match
Few available still
I've walked home from there pissed a few times but a few stops on the northern line is much more convenient

I'll be in Scotland fixing my son's car when the Test is on.

I can see India piling on the runs, taking a lead, then bowling us out for peanuts!
So glad I got that wrong!

Not walking distance then
@ken, don't admit that, just say it was reverse mockers

No cc for Surrey this week now
Which means bairstow will have the gloves for the remainder of this series and probably the ashes too
Seems its a toss up between pope or Lawrence for buttlers vacant spot, I'd like to see livingstone come in

I agree it wouldn't be fair on the pair of them and Livingstone is in form albeit in the shorter form so give him a chance he is a special talent.

Billings and Woakes it is then think they've missed a trick there.

It just seems so wrong to me.
As I said before, there should be 20 players ahead of them right now. I see billings is reserve keeper, I'd rather he got the nod as the extra batter

I suppose the thing is they are already part of the squad.

With a few clubs affected by covid this week it would make sense, although with Lawrence playing for Essex it's not like they're in a secure bubble.
He's looked pretty sreaky when I've looked but still in there in a gloomy evening session.
Benjamin looks a proper player, it's no wonder south africa aren't up to much when players like that abandon them regularly.

I presume pope would have played for Surrey had it not been cancelled.
I hope sc plays in some of those games, batting up the order and taking the responsibility with the ball. Between his success in the franchises and limited overs stuff, and the way England have used him, he seems to have gone backwards a bit this past year. He only gets in the england side ahead of woakes and Overton if they want the left armers footmarks for moeen.
I think its a good time for a little kick up the backside as I think he'll have a big part to play down under

I see Root has gone to the top of the test batting rankings and deservedly so hope he can stay there.
On another note i see Dale Steyn has announced his retirement from all cricket. A wonderful bowler with pace
and swing shame his shoulder limited his appearances.
