Alright folks. After years of lurking, absorbing knowledge and having the crap scared out of me at 3am by the ghost thread I thought it was time to actually join.

Big thanks to Karlos for remembering the webmaster@ address existed and validating my email.

Hi all. I'm 41 and living in Kinver.

I'm just getting into Carp fishing after coarse fishing for years.

I look forward to posting. Thanks for verifying my email.

Hello everyone

I'm new here and i wanted to introduce myself before anything

My name is Alfonso, and i'm 27, been an angler all my life, mostly with lures but a friend of mine introduced into carp fishing a couple of years ago. Hoping to learn something and share some experiences and opinions with you all mates.

Btw, excuse me if i have some language mistakes , my english is a little bit rusty.

Tight lines to you all and buzzin' screamers

Hi all.
Been a member for a couple of years but have barely been here...not really into social media or forums anymore. Probably because I'm a miserable git maybe...
Anyway, I'm hoping to post a bit more frequently now.
I mainly barbel fish, used to carp fish around Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes until I moved west 20 odd years ago.
So thought I'd say hello and try to be more sociable

Welcome.
I wanted to get out and do some barbel fishing on the River Arun near me this year, but the recent heat has stopped me from getting out as much as I'd like.

You can always post in the "Other Species" section if you want to talk barbel...if I manage to catch one I will certainly be in there posting a picture myself, only ever caught 1 barbel before from a stretch of river that isn't meant to have any in (I was fishing for Carp).

It was just under 10lb as well! Happy fluke 👍

Hi guys

New member in the forum, I already read a lot or threads but thanks to Karl my email address is now validated 🙏

Note that I'm a french carp lover, so my english could be a bit wrong sometimes ! 👎
During last 3-4 years, my fishing location was a small river next to my city with savage and tricky carps !
I'm still rolling my baits with some basic recipies but river fish don't needs more

Talk to you soon !

I feel new haha

Been a long time but looks like it is all ticking along nicely.
It says my last post other than today was 2006!!
amazing to see it doing so well Karlos!

I have had a long break from angling but possibly looking at taking it back up in a lighter way and going back to basics.
And fishing for a mixture of species, including some dark old looking carp of any size
great London based so should be able to find a suitable mixed venue with some nice, tincas, carp, perch and crucians.

Also now in a flat so need to work out how not stink everything out with wet nets and bait.

Shout out to all the original Carpforum posse and hope some of you are still on here.
Many happy memories on the forum and fish-ins including the carp championships with the legend Mr Hubber many, many moons ag0
