My Cyp sub was on an annual credit card recurring basis,

I submitted the cancellation request per the FAQ instruction, and received an email A couple of weeks later confirming cancellation.
Just need to watch the card statement in May24 to ensure it worked!

Bit late then. Easiest way is cancel your card and get another.

Post should be pinned with a big warning sign scam so anyone visiting forum would be aware of this scam.

Know's exactly what he is doing, ****ing con man

That's what I thought was strange, just cancel the direct debit.

Report him. Should make him pay it all back

I've cancelled again on the strength of this thread. I thought the bloke was alright but turns out maybe not.

I will say it was really easy to cancel through my bank and I'm not sure why you wouldn't do it this way in the 1st place. I didn't have to cancel the card, just end the recurrent payments in the banking app. Took 10 seconds and the there is no chance that another payment can come out.

Quote ''You cancelling your subscription, then being charged for many months afterwards is a whole different ball park altogether.''

?? That's not what i was referring to at all, read the post again.

In fact no one has mentioned that they are being charged months after cancelling the subscription with the company directly. that would be pure theft and they would be in court!

CAS designed and manufactured a buzz bar, which Elliot went onto market as the Elliot Grey Buzz Bar. Elliot then sold the design onto OMC.

"This is a new accepted norm of any genre of subscriptions".

"That's not what i was referring to at all, read the post again".

"In fact no one has mentioned that they are being charged months after cancelling the subscription with the company directly. that would be pure theft and they would be in court!"

Why do I need to read the post again? These are all your words above. I read it just fine the first time. I read the whole thread just fine and understood it.

People are cancelling, on the given method by the company itself, on the companies website. But the subscription continues taking money until they eventually notice. I only even read the thread, as I saw the same thing being discussed on faceache by different people the other day. Three months one bloke, who was going mental. Posting screenshots of messages between himself and the owner. If you reread this thread you will see others saying the very same thing.

All of my recurring subscriptions are on cards or PayPal. Nothing is direct debit anymore. I either cancel with the company itself, or on my iTunes account. At the end of that month it's all over. No more money is taken. I certainly never have to go to my bank, or PayPal to actually stop someone from taking my money.

People 'normalising' this in this thread are not helping. That's the only reason I replied to you. But after reading your reply, you clearly did not understand what was even going on. The 'odd' person could be a mistake, yes. But that is not the case here is it.

If you have a subscription and you cancel it with the company, obviously it should be cancelled and no more cash taken. That's quite important. They really need to get it sorted out sharpish.

I have paid Disney a fortune. Watched bugger all on it. I just pay the bills

Amazon Prime & Netflix for me if I'm ever watching anything. That's normally only downloaded films and series for travelling too.

If you haven't seen it already then I would highly recommend The Rescue on Disney+. Incredible story.
