Of course they're excuses. Every country had to deal with COVID as every country has to deal with Putin's war in Ukraine and the fallout. Zero influence on the success of Brexit mate.

It's not about following politics.... It's about following facts. Define pulling together.... and how does pulling together alter economic facts and the reality of the situation? Will it resolve the issues at Dover? Will it help those businesses who are going down the pan due to the INCREASE of red tape and costs caused by brexit? Give us the promised 350 million for the NHS?
The shorthand for pulling together is to create the outcome that suits your vision of the future.
I'll tell you what's embarrassing..... not reassessing your view when the evidence that brexit has/will fail is overwhelming.

No of course they aren't, but they are a contributing factor as to why things may not have happened as quickly or smoothly as they could/should have. Yes the world are dealing with these things, but they aren't dealing with Brexit aswell

FFS it's too early to know. Ive said it before many times. It was always going to get worse before it got better. Stop ignoring that. You're hell-bent on it failing. If In a few years time it actually turns out to be a success,will you hold your hands up and say you were wrong? Or stay quiet. We both know the answer ,dont we ?!

If I can offer an analogy as to how it appears...
We're like Man utd. Living on past glories, blaming other factors for the cock ups made by the wealthy elite that run the club. Had it good for ages and got increasingly arrogant. Stuck with outdated tactics for too long. Think the world owes us. Can't accept that we're not the 'power' we used to be.
And nobody likes us.
Post brexit, we are now struggling to get back to where we were when part of the EU in terms of business, trade, economy etc. Trouble is, by the time we get back to that level, everyone else will have moved on and we'll still very far behind.

It's shaken the structure of the nations within the UK perhaps accelerated the break up. Johnson went over to Saudi to call in a few favours the other month if you remember. Left with his tail between his legs and no agreement to turn on the oil and gas taps from the once friendly Sheiks. We've managed to alienate so many other countries and blocs that excuses and give it decades too work don't cut it anymore for me. We need a change of direction.

Last time I looked, we were living in a democracy. Which means we have the right to disagree. So, no thanks, I'll be as negative as I want about it.
Always said if I'm wrong I'll say so, because it means things are better. Problem is, brexit will continue to make life worse.
It's brexiters who won't acknowledge that it's a failure.

Because it's too early to call it a failure. You are correct about living in a democracy, the majority voted leave so you have to deal with that, just as those who voted leave would have to if remain would've won. Being so bitter about it won't do you any good in the long run . There are more important things in life than those you can't do anything about

Fuehrer Farage said if the vote would have been 52/48 the other way, the matter would be far from decided.
You keep repeating I'm bitter. Not so. You're terrified to admit that you've been conned. I get that, but how long will you give it, before you say it's a **** sandwich? 5 years, 10 years?
I'll continue to exercise my democratic right to disagree and when the time comes, support any plan to reinstate a return to the single market even if we don't make a total return to the EU.
