Hello all
Well I'm certainly not "new to the forum" but I have been MIA for a few years after moving to Toronto, Canada.
I have been on and off fishing since being here (moved in 2007) and haven't posted on here since 2015, I now have two kids so it has made my fishing very sparse, like 2 or 3 times a year, the seasons are pretty short because of the cold weather which also doesn't help.
Bait making was always a big thing and after moving to Canada I discovered that its a huge struggle to get any of the boilie ingredients, plus most of the carp here have never seen a hook or bait in their life so naturals like maize works extremely well, plus its very difficult to prebait a water as vast as lake Ontario
I sort of switches hobbies and started brewing beer and entering competitions. I really miss the fishing and carp scene (which is almost non existent here in Canada) and decided that its time to concentrate on the hobby that I really love and is a lot more healthy.
I do miss the bait making and the Canadian Carp Club has started stocking CC Moores baits and ingredients so I'm now excited with the thought of making my own base mixes again and catching on my baits again, even if they are going to cost a fortune with the prices of the ingredients due the Canadian Carp Club having to pay to ship them over here. . There are still a few months to go before its warm enough to get onto the back on to the bank but I'm super buzzing..

Just wanted to drop in and say a "Hello again, I'm back" to the old timers who remember me, and a Hi to those who have joined since I went MIA.

Its good to be back.

hello been using the forum for years for looking at tackle reviews and general reading really, took a 2-3 year break from fishing due to work family etc, recently moved down to the south coast (Portsmouth) from Norfolk. Currently buying new kit ready for after summer when il be able to get out a few nights a week.

Probably look for a few smaller local waters to get back into things, this area is completely new to me obviously Yateley ain't to far of a drive but want to get back into the swing of things 1st get a bend in the rod. Any recommendations for decent clubs around Hampshire? Thanks 👌

Hi, new user here!
I am a British (well dual-nationality now) angler living in France.
I am an all-round angler I suppose but carp fishing is my favourite if I get the time!
Have been on other forums in the distant past and have been lurking on this one lately.
Might get round to posting from time to time...
Sam.

Good afternoon

Ive been floating around here a quite a while picked up loads of Tips

I'm mainly a weeknd session Carp angler, but do go match fishing with my Son as he enjoys this more.

Been fishing on and off for about 10 years after a neighbour gave me the bug

Looking to expand my skills from small water PVA bag fishing to Bigger waters.

Hi All,

Been a member of the forums for a few years but haven't visited until recently as I've only just got back on the bank. I've been a keen fisherman all my life but haven't been able to fish so much in recent years due to other commitments. Hoping to get on a syndicate/club water somewhat local (Oxfordshire) and get some more fish on the bank!

Morning everyone - another new forum member introducing himself...

I first started fishing as a youngster about 40 years ago, then took a lengthy break as career/family/kids took over but started up again about three years ago.

Decided to concentrate on carp fishing with the occasional coarse fishing day every now and again

Still feel very much a novice but learning all the time and look forward to contributing to the forums where I can
