i actually went out for 2 hours yesterday afternoon with a rod!!!!
few handfulls of my trusty TnM freebies and a garlic TC pop up....20 mins in, a 20lb old warrior laid safely in my net ...
happy days

Theale Lagoon.
This photo/capture has not been shown anywhere before. Gary is the bailiff, his captures/photos don't normally get shared. He has fished Theale for a long time. He had three years away from fishing the big pit... He returned this summer. He caught this very black 36+ common straight away, within a few nights on a GPB1 pop up. First time using them, after three years away from the venue. That's a pretty incredible result, considering it's less than 1 carp per 10 acres.
Gary was previously an S2 user. The garlic ended up being responsible for 5 bites, from the incredibly low stocked big pit within a few weeks this year. 😎

That's one of those pictures isn't it. Initially it looks like a ‘fail' but it's the type of atmospheric shot that keeps catching the eye. Quite an enchanting looking place.
