Thank you. Yes, on our 13mm GPB1 balanced.
I was finding it incredibly hard to use anything other than an S2... I've caught so many big carp on them over the past fifteen years... So when faced with a challenge of just 35 carp residing in 100's of acres... It was still all about an S2 for me. Since we introduced the garlic a couple of years ago, I've not fished at all. Work mainly, but a new missus, lots of travelling, means I'd only been carp fishing once in the past two years.
I planned to fish Theale every week this year from early spring if I could. When I lost my first two bites from the lagoon, the first was on a GPB1. I had three rods on a very tight spot at long range. Two S2, one garlic. All 13mm balanced. Second bite the next morning, again I had two S2 & one GPB1 out on the spot. It was the garlic that went again. That was enough for me... That day, even though I'd just lost two and was ready to string myself up... I'd found something... All three rods had garlics on when they went back out.
It feels totally alien to me to have had four bites, and none of them came on an S2. At a guess I'd say all of the carp in the lagoon, have been caught on an S2 over the past decade at least once before I got my ticket... Some like the biggun numerous times. They definitely like the garlics. Bodes well for me going forwards.

Roughly a week mate at the moment as a general rule... Our next delivery goes out Weds. Get it done before that and I'll try my best to make sure it goes out on that delivery for you.

To be fair, the lad at the bottom has been absolutely clumping them since Spring mate. The next bloke up is his mate. Sam & Craig. They fish one of the Yateley pits not sure which. All GPB1. They seem to catch tonnes every weekend, both have smashed their PB's this year.
Top photo is my close mate Sam. Him and his Dad stocked Mary, Mallins etc into Wraysbury... He's the same bloke who had that 32lb pike from the Thames with me. That fish is from the same poaching place as I caught that 40+ ex Thames fully four years ago. That fish of Sams is ex Thames too, they all are. That top one is 45+, again GPB1. The pit is not a poaching pit anymore, there's a very small syndicate on there now.
As far as I know that fully has not been caught since.
