It's not just the height V footprint.
I as convenient as the modern bivvies are
In having flat backs that give more internal space
They are quite a big flat panel to catch the wind.
The pramhoods with 2 ribs also to so some extent.

If you then make it higher and higher......

That's why back to a gale force wind the original titan and your pioneer were rock solid.

The new dpm one by Quest baits is up on their Facebook page, Wayne. Looks great but of kit! 10 000 hh, skull cap and internal vapor shield, 150 cm high too.

To me, it seems better. Especially the block of the Cyprinus worries me.

Oh my, Quest really have snuck this in, looks best design of the lot with 20000mm HH, the peak and overlapping side panels .... Now Cyprinus will feel how Trakker felt when they done it to them .... Only real winner at the moment is the consumer

Well if it was Deeper than the width I would have preferred it

as then you would then have the option of having your bed right back with the front off giving you more protection if it rained or nice storage out the way behind your bed if you had it forward when its dry
and if it was windy from behind a narrower profile too

without the Skull cap the Quest version is a cross between the Tempest, Hide with a Titan peak. Front is also detachable......

Size of 280W / 220D / 150H Looks spot on to me and the standard W / D for most 1 man bivvies nowadays....

Alos, They are hoping to price it around the £299 mark.......

Cobblers It's a JRC Bloxx, I love mine, perhaps it will come back into fashion. I've always said despite the quoted dimensions, my Bloxx Compact always feels roomy enough and I never catch my head on the top (i'm 6 foot).
