Do you really believe that I'd be prepared to spend a grand or two on an inspection/report without first realizing how totally 5h1t it is?.

Oh my life......
Wait until you see my daughters.
I mean when you request and document that you want a sink in with a left handed drainer what could possibly go wrong?.
Well, yes you've guessed it my daughter from the previous builder had installed a right handed drainer.

From what i can discover from you previous posts, it probably is a left hand drainer installed incorrectly

Can't help on the legalities. My garden gate guarantee is in the paperwork.
I met a ‘plumber' once who thought a right side drain sink had a DRAIN on the right, not a draining board. Could be the mix up?

There was no mix up as it was clearly documented.

Noj.
I'm pretty sure that you had sent me your email address once where I sent you photos from that previous cowboy builder.
If yourself or anyone else would like to see images of this ongoing fitted furniture escapade then please private message me your email address and I'll pop them over a few for you/all to see. Would appreciate all your feedback afterwards though.
Cheers.

To be fair Tazi there can be reasons for changing the sink handing that may not be apparent at first glance. I have to make alterations to drawings all the time. Communication is clearly a big problem here though, as is trust. I dare say you could have a great team go in to put the place right, but as communication is crap and there's nobody with the trust or authority to make decisions on how to get over the issues it'll never get completed to your satisfaction

It will get completed to the satisfaction that is required. The previous contractor had no right to do as he had pleased without clarifying what his thoughts, plans and reasons were without discussing with the contract administrator ‘who was overseeing the project at that time' my daughters OT and her solicitor so would be wrong to suggest that there is no one with trust or authority.
Let's not forget the previous contractor ‘and this current one' have to adhere to what is suitable for disabled people and if any objections are raised they should be at that time, or if problems arise during then solutions need to be discussed with all of the above previous mentioned and not just carry on and do what you believe is best for anyone, let alone for disabled people.

There you go.
a small issue arises, the tradesman offers two possible solutions to the bloke above him, who passes it on to the person above him and so on until the answer comes back down the chain to the tradesman who is now balls deep on someone else's job because you can't scratch your arse for hours/days waiting.
"it's all right there on paper" unfortunately houses aren't made out of paper, and mistakes can't be rubbed out and redrawn

Much like your first reply, not a clue.
So, the tradesman ‘well cowboy as it turned out to be more precise' is balls deep on someone else's job.....and yet he/his company signed the contract.

Have you had a building dispute solicitor look at the defective work and go over the contract particulars?
Going back many years I had to get a structural dispute solicitor to evaluate and overlook a claim I had against a contractor with design responsibility on defective work, there are many types of claims solicitors in very trade specific fields.

My daughter has court of protection and a solicitor as her deputy even prior to building work being carried out. Fortunately she has all the protection that one could ever ask for.
Thanks mate for your reply and appreciate your thoughts and perhaps guidance but fortunately my daughter has all that in place.
