For the cheapest deal on the day shop around any of the names mentioned. For me the best on line tackle shop providing the best and fullest service has to be the Tackle Box Dartford. Personal opinion based on long experience.

Poingdestres, Bristol Angling, Tackle Shop, Johnsons, Angling Direct, Total Fishing Tackle and the bay.
If you can find it - Tradtackle on ebay is cheap for end tackle - I hate spending £3 for 20 quick links - when you can get 50 for the same price!

Wierd how hardly any support for angling direct. They are growing so fast at the cost of some long standing companies. It doesn't look good for the angler if it carries on this way. I can see more retailers selling on their own websites if angling direct start to dictate the prices to them

Can't help but think they are growing to fast. Buying up all the competition but you still have to sell tackle they must have a serious cash flow issue, prime for going under

Would never use angling direct after what they did to fosters of Birmingham absolutely ruined the place.

Had excellent service from quite a few, especially TFT, England Angling, Kent Tackle and Johnson Ross.
