Some years back the optician told me I needed varifocals but I thought I was okay until after I got them, I was at an England football game and wasn't that far from the pitch and couldn't see who a particular player was so put on my new glasses and it was only then I realised the optician was right.
Previously I just used reading glasses.

But I must add that the more you use them eventually the more you need them.

That's very true.
Due to keratoconus my eyesight will never be perfect and so due to being vain I tend to put up with not so good eyesight.

I did say that I initially started to wear reading glasses and took them off between shots.
It was some time later that the test told me I needed vari's ... my eyesight was obviously deteriorating further.
