Hi guys, new to the forum, looks excellent, used to be a lake owner in Essex, but haven't fished for ten years !! However I've got the bug again so here I am. I'm looking forward to chatting on here for tips and stuff as well as general banter.

Hello all,
My name is Mark, carp angler for almost 30 years but packed it all in 3 years ago and sold all my gear cos I just wasn't getting the buzz anymore. Yep, you guessed it, the bug is back and over the next few months I'm going to be kitting myself out again! Although I bought a carp mag the other day for the first time in 3 years and sae a bivvy priced at £800! WTF!?

Looking forward to catching up with the carp scene on here over the next few months.

Hi All.......just made a return to fishing after not wetting a line for 20 some years, and completely new to carp fishing. Have seen a few nice ones in the local waters, looking forward to stalking them. Sadly there are still a lot of folks around here (U.S. midwest near chicago) that see carp as a "trash" fish...the town I live in used to hold a Carp fest, the goal being to catch as many as possible and rid the lake of them.....luckily they were unsuccessful.
Well, back to reading and learning for me...take care ...Estaban

Hi everyone, im lewis new to carp fishing, been fishing on the match scene for the last 15 years or so, had enough of the pressure so sold all my gear and started carp fishing. I have done one overnighter and caught a 11 lb catfish from my local lake which was well chuffed at looking firward to bagging so nice carp and also looking forward to be able to relax on the bank instead of being like a headless chicken lol.
