Absolutely agree about Compton had a terrific start to the CC but needs to do it over a couple of seasons. Lees is going the right way and if Crawley can learn to leave the wide swinging delivery he looks good when he gets going.
Looking forward to SA now as they have a decent attack. Was impressed with Keegan Peterson in they're last series.

Should be a good series against a decent attack, I just hope they can do something about the ball, a new one every 15 overs is no good
Crawley keeps getting out chasing a wide one, but he also scores a big portion of his runs punishing the wide ball. I don't think they'll be trying to stop him doing it, just getting better at picking the ones to go after

Should do away with changing the ball unless it's falling apart IMO they are using it as a tactic now when the ball isn't doing anything if a ball goes out of shape tough.

Great morning for england
If stokes wants to win this match tho he's gonna need a massive pair.
A first innings forfeit looks the only way of getting a result to me

As much as results have been hugely improved i still think Stokes is better with the bat than his gung-ho approach. He makes himself look silly yet with a bit of caution he can still score at an alarming rate. Having said that he bowls through pain again and again and picks up vital wickets. Really had no right to win that game but he has the team on a roll.
Nice to see Pope and Foakes cementing their places also nice to see Crawley score some runs.
Roll on Pakistan in December.

Tbh I won't think much about the Pakistan tour until the first test starts
I was shocked to see the easy chance foakes dropped, off broad typically, he was fuming

That chance wasn't as easy as it looked the ball suddenly swung just in front of him.

I meant easy by his standards, certainly not mine

Blimey 332-3 at tea in Pakistan that run rate is mad and picking Jacks and Livingstone don't think anyone saw that. Is this the team they wanted or are others unfit due to this virus either way it's positive cricket.

If pope and Crawley are scoring faster than a run a ball, I'm expecting records to crumble if Jacks or Livingston get going.
I wanna see what the score is at 90 overs, 500 runs in a day was obscene, but it should have been a lot more!

Jesus, great for Jacks to grab 6 wickets on debut, but I hope he gets a chance to improve them figures

It's cricket, Jim, but not as we know it!
Brilliant, England!
Brilliant, Stokes!
Brilliant, McCullen!
(And as for Anderson...****in BRILLIANT, Jimmy.)

Yep brilliant match!
It's a huge credit to the new ethos of England that it went into the final session still a nail biting watch considering the road of a pitch.
Can't wait for round 2

In the words of Harry Brook, "the last two weeks have been phenomenal”.
