At about 51 seconds it's shown rolled up. Doesn't mean it doesn't come off, just it's rolled in that clip

Yeah I'm kind of basing my assumption on that, there's no pics without the front, it's not mentioned in the description and someone on fb vaguely saying it was just roll up front... These teaser videos whip up a frenzy but aren't good for information... especially after that wait for the slow boat

With you here, I'm happy with what I have, but if the Cyprinus had been a major advancement at sensible money it could have been game on
They are definitely upping pricing of their goods. I'm not saying they are not worth it, but Cyprinus 'bargains' will soon be a thing of the past and more a case of better value for money...

I think you're jumping the gun a bit there buddy. This is the first shelter they've released that they've "designed" and built "themselves". It's not yet a complete reversal in business model imo. They still offer all the ripped-off Aqua stuff.

Maybe I am not being clear. What I mean is, Aqua Fast and Light was what? £300? Cyprinus version of the exact same was half, or less than half that. I bought a Cyprinus V2 brolly utility front for £80 when the Trakker one was £160. Those 'half the price' of what they were copying items, are what I would consider bargains.
This new DPM Typhoon, priced as it is, will IMO deter a lot of people, as although it is cheaper than the Trakker/Aqua item it is copying, is probably priced +£100 over what it should be to consider it a bargain.
Again, IMO, design and built themselves is a backward step with the cam locks, spreader block design etc. Still at a premium price though, £400/£450 for a bivvy is still a hell of lot of wonga in anyones book!
Ps - i'm not saying it's a bad thing, but half price = bargain, £100 or so cheaper = good value for money. Both better options than paying max carp tax

Compared to similar shelters, it's a bargain. If it were a £400 pram hood style bivvy then you'd have a point, but it's not. With the bits it comes with, it's at least £200 cheaper than it's closest comparable rival. Most would call that a bargain I'd imagine

I take all points made, but will let others spend £450 to see if those cam locks hold firm. Not saying I don't like the look, nor am I saying I wouldn't buy one at that price for the record, but...

What Cyprinus have offered in the past is pretty basic pramhood or brolly type shelters - little goes wrong with either and being copies minimised issues. .. Couple that with the budget prices (in comparison) the customer expectation is naturally less high. - This Typhoon is a different price range, more complex design ... which will mean bigger expectation from the customer - I do see it as Cyprinus making first moves towards a different demographic - The key for me is how Cyprinus deal with problems .... If they can get that right and offer top grade customer service .... they could become number 1 and clean up ..... Its a massive "IF" though and my gut tells me otherwise.

Looks good to me and at a very reasonable price too!
As a lot of you have already said it's going to be a case of if this is actually any good after a lot of use like the other tried and tested brands have been doing for some time. In the case I won't be forking out for one just yet and be a guinea pig just yet
And completely agree about the after sales help is gunna be key to the success of this product!!

There customer service is piss poor.I had a rib snap on one of their brollies and got no help whatsoever.I would rather pay extra and buy from a shop,at least I can return it then if any issues

I had an issue with a bedchair that was damaged by a courier & a fast & light brolly where the material had been pinched.
Both times their customer service was spot on & they couldn't have been more helpful.
