FishOn Ricci, with the biggest carp in his syndicate, a new lake record for Ashbury Fisheries 46lb10oz. Pink 13mm S2 cc pop up, fished over 5 spombs of crushed Krill and the shops excellent prepared particle.
Well done mate.
"Having not fished the Top lake at @ashbury_fisheries since early October I rocked up full of confidence as my last two trips I had managed 8 fish but in that 6 week period of not fishing it had slowed right up & due to the immense rain it hadn't done a bite for two weeks, my first trip back resulted in a blank. I left with my tail between my legs but that long journey to work my head was in overdrive thinking how I can change my approach to trick one of these carps... I returned the following week, the lake still not producing a fish but I felt confident. I fished the same swim, keeping one rod on a spot that had done me bites in early October & moved two rods to two new areas and changed my baiting approach.
At 1pm a pike caused a bit of bother getting hooked up in my line meaning I had to redo my middle rod. The rod went out perfect but thought that might of ruined my chances.
In the very early hours that same rod absolutely melted off, as soon as I picked up the rod I knew & said to my self, this is one of the bigguns, it was unmistakable. I was convinced I was hooked up with the biggest mirror in the lake. I don't know why but that's what was going through my mind while it beasted me taking a lot of line from my tight clutch! Eventually I stopped it and pumped it all the way in until it locked me up in the weed at the bottom of the shelf, holding the rod high and after 10 minutes or so, looking at the tip in the bright moon light I started to gain a bit so I kept walking back until I saw this big ball of weed pop up 10 yards out. I put the rod back on the rest and pulled the line with my hands. I felt a kick, knowing it was still on I carefully guided it over the net & scooped up a huge weedbed!
Removing the weed i revealed my prize, to my surprise not a mirror but a huge common, the rarest of the bigguns, one I didn't think I'd catch to be honest, I was buzzed! The wheel of fortune slammed round to 46.10!!! A new lake recorded!
I text Joe who was fishing the Mere next door, he came up at first light... we were both in awe, she was perfect & looked incredible in the bright November sunshine. My Autumn/winter target achieved, the biggest fish in the lake."

Thanks for the kind words James.
We sent out a mountain of special order stuff Monday afternoon, even more yesterday. We are completely up to date with all normal orders on our website as of today. We will be sending out special orders now well into next week. I totally underestimated how missed the F1 were for a lot our old customers! I've been told in no uncertain terms by a lot of anglers the past few days!
The F1 were the third hook bait we released, on April 25th, 2013. Our website had only been built in Jan 2013. Tinpot caught his PB & first UK 50+ from Roach Pit on May 1st on an F1. Just over a month later, I caught the same fish on an F1, also my first UK 50+.

Marks care and attention to his customers is as good as his baits

F1's arrived yesterday, top service as always. Just got to get out to try them now!
Lots of people messaging, panicking a little bit because a lot of people have their F1 etc, and some do not. Most people ordered other products along with the special orders. We were out of stock of a couple of products until Monday. That has held up some peoples orders until Monday. Also, we just got blown out of the water a bit for F1 & Bug. Later orders we took are all going Monday. This F1 & Bug in the photo is ready today, and will be going out in orders on Monday too. We have even more than that ready tomorrow. Last delivery for us before Xmas is Tuesday. All outstanding special orders are going Monday morning. We will be completely up to date with any orders placed by Monday afternoon. Any after that will go straight after Xmas.
The Bug balanced were so much better than previous for us. This time they have been double cooked. Briefly at first, just to skin them in hot (non boiling) water. After drying, they are still paste like in the centre with a hard skin. They were then cooked again. The second time cooking they have a hard skin, which stops them from distorting or blistering, allowing them to be cooked like a normal bait.
We have a load more basemix and liquids from DNA turned up yesterday, so Bug balanced are now back on the menu again.

As a standalone single hook bait, 100% the F1.
That was what they were specifically designed for originally.
