taking the dry powdered food ingredients inside the Bug, liquefying it

Interesting reading as usual Mark

So you are soaking the base mix and then drying it out before rolling it? Could be me that has misinterpreted that wrong? If it's a SH trade secret, no bother

Very dodgy questions. Of course it's a SHB trade secret

No. I should really have said, we are taking the 'soluble' food ingredients in that sentance, from inside the cooked bait. Our curing process involves two different types of liquids (cures). Obviously for the Bug, both are based entirely around the Bug liquid food.

I actually asked Jason to send me some readymades to match up too. But only after, I had smelled the base mix for the first time. The base mix, has a very strong creamy aroma, that smells nothing like the liquid food that the finished bait smells of. I knew straight away, when I first smelled the base mix, that we were going to slightly change the smell of the finished Bug hookbaits after it went through our curing processes. I knew we would drag that creamy aroma (among other things) out from the base mix itself. And it did. They are currently being matched up for smell to the human nose (it only matters to you lot, not the fish). The smell to our noses changed ever so slightly, but it's only all stuff that is inside the baits base mix already, we have just dragged it out. That changes the smell very slightly. The important part of the process is that it has also changed the structure of the hook bait itself, how it will now react once it goes under water. It becomes uber soluble, it's been unlocked.

The process is absolutely EVERYTHING. Our GPB2 are so incredible, because they contain a stupid amount of soluble pre digested fishmeal. Locking that inside a bait is very easy. We are unlocking it to a fish through our curing process though. I could give you two hook baits. Both identical in every single way to you. One is made in a traditional way. One is put through our process five times. The difference to the carp is absolutely stupid. One will outfish the other 5 - 1 or more.

No more dodgy questions pretty please. Wait for the hook bait article. It will get posted online eventually

All the Bug hook baits are long gone now. The only CF member who said they wanted them who I did not hear from, was Reuben. Saved you some Reuben if you still wanted them. It's no problem if you did not. We had to roll a load more yesterday anyway.

These are the 16mm, balanced and pop ups.

Anyone who saw the original thread about that lithium bait gun... I picked up another one on Prime day. It was a spur of the moment thing late at night. Cheapest on Amazon now is £160. On Prime day I got another one for £133 I think it was with a voucher. With two batteries I thought that was more than reasonable. It's black Friday soon, they will be cheaper again.

Coming all way from China now too. All of them on Amazon are.

Appreciate that you're busy but it seems like ages ago the cheese hookbaits were mentioned, any news on them?

I've just received some Bug balanced baits. They look amazing and are so obviously "The Bug" hookbaits but with the unique twist of Specialized thrown into the mix. I'd be surprised if these don't prove to be very successful, very quickly. Looking forward to using them.
