Saw it mate

Toprak, some rider that boy!

Race 1, think he started from around 13th and won, mental

Would love to see him in MotoGP, just signed another 2 year WSB contract, says he is happy there!

He was offered a ride, FM and they say a place in the factoryYamaha team, the replacement for MV

Whatch his pit lane endos, crazy, same on the brakes, last of the late brakers, rear wheel about 20mm off the ground constantly controlled by the front brake at stupid mph

Incredible rider, maybe Yamaha for life?

Few have made that switch and fewer still successfully, be nice to see him try all the same.

MM over a second a lap faster, yes a lighter more powerful bike but also 10 times harder to ride hence why so few are successful. Also worth bearing in mind that lap time would put JR last in a full race.

Like Colin Edwards once said, if somebody said a MotoGP bike would be faster with encrusted diamonds on it, it would be covered in them, he also referred to a WSB as riding round in an armchair at the time in comparison

Few million quid gets you a few tenths of a second

Technology has moved on miles, pretty amazing when you can buy an R1 straight from the shop and it's around 5 seconds slower round a track than a WSB who's suspension costs more than the R1

Five seconds a lap with the same talented rider, most Sunday sports bike riders would be lapped by a wsbk rider on like for like bikes in half a dozen laps.

It's not about the nut on the bike it's the nut between the ears that matters

I think it's overdue tbh, though can't blame him for delaying the inevitable.
Very sad to see the death of Hugo Millan a couple of weeks back.
Can't wait for the next race, seems like its been a age !

As well as age I think the Styrian GP last year finished him off, one very, very, very lucky man that day

One lucky, lucky, lucky man

Same as mentioned, seems like an age since the last race

Hi Chris

They've just shown the corner where that crash happened and the fencing they've put up because of that crash, on first glance that does not look safe at all

Best

Flat out straight that Jon, nothing prior to that crash, since then they have had the large air bags in place. A fence can never be right, will have to have a look at that!

Track design that

Hi Chris,

They've just shown it from another camera angle and it looks like they may have air bags or tyres in front of the fence. I'm not a rider, but the positioning of it just looks dangerous

Best

Jon
