Hi Jeff. We made a small batch (below) of both the Tutti S2 & Whiskey S2 early in December just for the forum before I went away. Unfortunately they all sold out very quickly. Loads, I've been writing on lids just now. That's just what is ready today, a tiny fraction of what we have ready for the shops. We will have everything, all of the time now going forwards. The three shops are all now getting stock at an identical time this time. It's unfair to give one of them the new stuff, while the other two wait.

The S3 are a sweet spice. Cinnamon. It's the Curry S2 that have a really hot spicy tang.

They are all big. Some of them are very big carp.

This 40+ common has only been caught twice in the last seven or eight years. Once on an S4 (Chocolate S2, Alan). Once on a Fizz S2 (Chris). On a well fished syndicate.

😳😳 That is just out of this world stunning.

Zip linear especially if it's a double is my favourite fish to catch, size is irrelevant. Beauty over size every time. I'm so wanting to catch one of those. It's been a long time.

Sam has been having it right off at Sandhurst this week using our GPB1. 'The Armadillo' at 44lb14oz, 'Petals' at 42lb12oz being just part of an eight fish haul including numerous other big carp.

It's crazy how fast they are all selling them Andy. What's even more crazy is the feedback that is coming back through the shops, regarding what their customers are catching. It's all good.

Is there an update on when the new website goes live?

There has been a rather large change of plans regarding a new website. Chances are our website will now go all together later in 2026, after which time we would only sell through the shops. As our customer base has grown so fast, so much of my time is now spent talking to new customers, or dealing with deliveries. Time that should be solely spent producing lots more hook baits.

Our new web designer has been asked if it is possible to add all of the new baits to our existing website for now. That's no problem. Unfortunately I need another operation towards the end of the month, which again to have it done in a timely manor like last April, has to be done abroad. As soon as I am back at the end of Feb the new baits will get added to the website.

I was always very reluctant for our stuff to go into the shops... That was always a very big mistake on my part. There is no better way to let carp anglers actually look at the stuff. Our product is expensive.... So it's much better for anglers to actually see the product on the shelf alongside everything else with their own eyes before purchasing....As is being proved now. After that, the results the hook baits bring sells them going forwards. But that initial viewing of the product is clearly very important. We are about to undergo another very large expansion. The place we moved into last year, is already far to small for what we need now. We outgrew it already. So everything is changing at such a rapid rate, plans are now having to change with it.

The new products will all be on our website by the end of the month. Later in 2026 our website is likely going to go altogether now. After which, our whole range would always be available in the shops. It will allow us to take on another shop too (Yateley Angling), which was always the plan. By selling through the best tackle shops in the UK, with the best customer service, it should all be good for both us & our loyal customers. All three shops will have loads more of the new stuff next week. TackleBox have ordered the CarpForum Whisky S2.

Bought some Tutti's from Fishon tackle and they arrived today, they smell beautiful, as expected, but they don't taste sweet like S2's, they seem quite harsh. Is this normal?

Hello mate. They are the same sweet thing inside. They are an S2. What you are picking up on is something harsh on the surface to your taste buds, but it's a very important part of their makeup. The Fizz S2 and a couple of the others have the same harsh initial back notes. Quite a few of the new special edition S2 have a very different taste to your senses than the original S2 in the tub. They contain many new ingredients that the original S2 never had. But put them in the water for twenty minutes, it's a Sugars2 in essence.

They are working so well. This is a forum member Eddie yesterday morning. He has been doing rather well on the Curry. This weekend just gone it was the Tutti. This was his first trip with them. He only got them earlier in the week. Well done Ed.

We are getting bombarded with messages saying the same thing regarding the Tutti. Get out there & use them.

I fished his lake a few years ago now before the system changed
I was 1 swim away when his perfect zip linear come out on the lawns.
He came up to see me and said it's out do you want to see it.

Gutted as I wanted to fish the lawns and because I was staying in one of the lodges could have moved my marker to anywhere free on the lake but I didn't know lol and he was away fishing.

Salt.

I see so much terrible information written online about salt. From when to use it being the main one, closely followed by how or why it works. Many will try salt at the complete wrong time of the year & then completely dismiss it out of hand. Like so many things in carp fishing, it's very time specific. Try it at the right time, you will see it's real power.

To start with… Most of the year it will hardly have much effect. Often it is said/written that carp look for sodium pre spawning… This is also not true whatsoever. The time to use salt is from the moment that the fish spawn, right through the summer whilst the water is really warm. Sodium helps them massively by repairing them after spawning. It's not even that attractive to carp I don't believe in terms of making them feed. But by adding some salt to your free bait & regularly baiting a swim/area… Nothing whatsoever will keep carp welded to your spot like salt will (when they need it). You don't need a lot. Like most things in carp fishing bait, little & often is by far the best way to apply it. Add it to particles, coat your boiled baits in it. Whatever way you chose to get it onto your spot, from the moment that they spawn nothing will keep carp in an area like sodium will. When I fished on Roach Pit, some of the most famous UK anglers could never understand why the lakes stock would continually show on my chosen area long after I was not there. Days after all the bait was gone (visible from the boat). Salt in the bottom was what was keeping those fish showing like crazy on the spot. They will dig out the bottom to get it when they need it. Putting it in 'raw' is simply not the one I always found, even though many favour this way. I like to add it to particles. It leeches out and into the bottom in the surrounding area, and stays there. Salty sweetcorn, salty hemp, salty parti blend, anything. It really does not need to be any fancy salt, any old sodium will do. In a 15kg bucket of drained particle, 500g - 1kg is plenty. Then let it stew for a couple of days. It really helps them, they 100% know it too. You just have to use it at the correct time to get the best from it. Use it wisely and it's an incredible way of getting the carp to do what you want them to do.

May 2019. I personally think this is one of the best carp ever caught on our hook baits. The bloke is blurred out because a close friend of his is so desperate to catch this same fish. He'd been trying for years. The blur is also covering background that gives away the venue slightly to anyone in the know. It's from a very large, strictly non fishing pit in the south, that contains just two carp. This is the first time this very near 50lb common was caught. Apparently, it's not seen the bank since either. S2

I'm going to get a load imported into the UK the moment that I know that they are kosher a bit longer term. The red one is more powerful. Has a better battery. The yellow is FAR quieter than the orange guns we are using. The red one is completely silent though. You can barely even hear it. Brushless motor.

They would seem to be absolutely pukka. But they need putting through their paces before I get loads imported.

Edit. I just see your PM. I doubt that you will get a reply though. The people I have purchased from could not get the European import licences sorted. I guess that's why we have never seen them in the UK. That's no problem though, that is all sorted if they are pukka longer term. Don't worry I will make sure that you get one. I ain't getting them imported to flog them on for profit. Let me know if you do hear back from them though. I have scoured everywhere in the UK & cannot source them. I have been looking for a while. I first saw these guns in 2025.

I think the red ones are going to end up better though Dave.

I flew across the world expecting to need surgery tomorrow morning. All booked. During my pre op appointment with my surgeon yesterday & after scans, turns out I do not need more surgery. I have some nerve damage from surgery last April. I only need physio & some drugs. Major, major result. Saved me an absolute fortune too.

That's a result Mark... Surgeries at our age, regardless of quality of care or how minor/major aren't to be taken lightly.

I've funded too many surgeon's ski holidays over the years and the last few really have caught up with me. Don't skip on the physio dedication!

Thanks Andy. Jan 2023 I picked up a 25kg sack out of a tall storage bin. Bent over the bin at a stupid angle. One of the most crazy things I've done in my life. I was a plasterer for years & know how to pick stuff up properly. Leaning over at a stupid angle with straight legs is not the way forwards. I felt my groin go instantly. Then a few months later I ripped it even worse picking up a 23kg suitcase in Brazil. Worked hard on it for two years before I could no longer walk... Had a double hernia operation abroad last April. I thought it was still a bit mullered as I still have been getting a numb pain right at top of my left leg for the last few months. Turns out scar tissue has enveloped a nerve into the mesh.

Plenty of physio & a course of injections should sort it the surgeon says.

You could not believe how happy I am. I was absolutely ruined last April for six weeks after the op. I REALLY did not want to have another operation. So glad it's getting resolved. It's been a major pain in the arris for a long time now.

I do love the SHB thread - from bait tips, to hardware, to gambling tips……….it's the eclectic one stop internet info spot!!! Keep it coming.

I hope some of you took that 9's yesterday. It's now 15-2 with 365 & shortening across the board. It came in 1.5 points yesterday. 3 points the day before.

The Cheltenham preview shows/nights have all started, I watched the PaddyPower one last night in bed. Ruby Walsh (closely connected inside the Mullins stable) was very clear about this horses chance in this race. Very specific indeed. That had me cheering like a loon at 2am here

It's been shortening ever since I got the maximum stakes I could get on, but that price is going to absolutely collapse over the next week imo. If you backed it at 9's you could lay it all off for a very healthy return on your money with zero risk next week. But you should let it run.

I have a lot on to win. They increase my max stake for the big festivals by 200% on each account, because there's so much more liquidity in the markets. So I can get a lot more on than normal. If that horse wins, I will have had an amazing Cheltenham, whatever else happens. I have it linked with other fancies in big win doubles at those fancy prices too. Win lose or draw, we already have the 'value'. That's all you can do. Hopefully the horse will then do the business for us.

It's become tradition now to buy a stupidly expensive pair of sunglasses after big wins. Hopefully next week there will be a few new pairs knocking about Ashley. It's all good fun.

They can win this small battle. I don't care. The war is what you win in real life, not the pathetic little battles in the shadows of the internet. That is pure children's stuff. I have too much going on with SHB to waste my time on these losers. Blokes who have far too much time on their hands, all day, everyday. I don't have their endless time. This has gone on ever since the very first days I joined this forum. It's literally never stopped. That's many years now. It was going on for Karl and the forum long before I was ever here. Same blokes. Constant sly digs in the background trying to get a rise. Right up to all out pure nasty spite. But it's got so much worse, the better we are outwardly seen to be doing over the last couple of years. That in itself shows absolutely everything, what this is really all about. It's a level of obsession that defies normal logic. It's a level of obsession that shows some very serious mental illness. It's just spineless, bat **** crazy blokes on the internet. I am so very public, our phone number is available to all. But I would never hear from these people in real life. Not once. Not ever. Because that's real, with end consequence. They live in the shadows of the internet where they stupidly actually believe that there is no real life consequences for them. It's a comfort blanket for them, because it's not real. They can portray something to the world which they are not in real life. When you actually find out how sad their pitiful existence is in real life, all becomes absolutely crystal clear. Sadly they thrive off of the anonymity which they can get here under numerous fake profiles. That's why they are so completely obsessed with here. They are here right now. They live on the other smaller forums constantly too, but know that no one is looking, or gives a monkeys. So they do what they do here, over and over again. They just don't get my attention which they crave so much anymore online.

As far as me being able to be on here, it's just not for the best of either the forum, or me anymore. These people are absolutely obsessed with this place sadly. They can't walk away. No matter how many times they get banned or told no over and over again by Karl. I am not obsessed whatsoever. I can walk away from here in a heartbeat, that's exactly what I will have to do now. It's really for the best for everyone.

It's okay. Like I said, the most incredible things are happening for SHB going forwards. I need to concentrate solely on that. I have just realised today, that this craziness regarding here, it is never going to stop. That's all. So I'll just have to walk away from here. The exact thing, which they have never been able to do.

Sorry to hear this Mark, truly a sad day for the forum, Your contributions have been invaluable to so many on here. I guess you've been so close to pulling the plug many times but finally decided enough is enough.
The trolls will suffer the most though as their envy will continue to eat them up from inside even more now you've removed their means of venting it.

Albi is only five years old. Albi absolutely loves carp fishing. It makes him smile, a lot (apart from when scaly's slap him around the mooey like in the bottom pic).

We have received an incredible number of messages over the past week on our work mobile, from both CF members & CF watchers as guests. Thank you all so much. Until that time, it's just untenable for me to be here sadly. I don't like the other forms of social media for my own personal use. I much prefer this forum. Being sport for absolute dinlos on here is no fun though.

VPN's change your location & your IP address. I am of the personal opinion, that anyone who needs to visit this forum by changing their identity, are simply not here for any good reasons whatsoever. Over the past few years it has become like a sport for certain people (previously banned members) with far too much time on their hands to have multiple users on here. But that's just my opinion, it's not my forum, I'm just a member… I can't block VPN's.

This is Colin Hunt. Many of you may well know Colin, he's been around the big carp scene for a very long time now. I know Col from Roach Pit, more than a decade ago. I was so saddened to hear recently that he has suffered from a number of debilitating strokes over the past few years. In 2022 Colin suffered back to back strokes. In July 2025 he had yet another really bad stroke. He now suffers from memory loss, epilepsy and has facial paralysis because of it all. He's a real fighter though and he keeps bouncing back! If you search on Facebook for Catchforcol you will find a group set up by his friends to promote a fish-in that is happening on Manor & St Johns on the 27th March. Raffle tickets are being sold to raise money for the Stroke Association on behalf of Colin. So many great prizes from carp fishing companies across the board. Lots of famous anglers attending the event, from Ian Russell to Lewis Read and so many more. You will find all of the prizes on the Catchforcol page, from numerous large tackle and bait firms. Along with many exclusive auctions for some incredible donations. From one off paintings of Terry Hearn holding Bazil, to lake exclusives on some incredible pits. Signed books from the likes of Tom Bankes and Micky Gray, signed tackle from the likes of team Korda. Solar Tackle even donated a motorised barrow to help Colin to get back out fishing. The list is endless. We sent a donation of £350 of our hook baits for the raffle for Colin, along with a TackleBox CFX take apart 12m baiting pole, with extensions taking it up to 20m. The fish Colin is holding here is a fifty plus year old true Oxfordshire Leney, caught by Col just last week. There's only a very tiny handful of these incredible old fish left in the entire country now. We sent Col a couple of extra tubs of our hook baits to use for himself at the event after our donation. First trip out with them on the pit he is currently fishing, Col caught this incredible old Leney carp on a Fizz S2. It's hard to put into words the joy this capture has brought to Colin. He's finally back out on the bank doing exactly what he loves.

New guns for our new base. The red ones are newer updated versions of the orange Chinese guns which I put the thread on here of before. The ones from eBay that a lot of you purchased. These newer versions are brushless, have more quiet motors. Come with two upgraded higher power lithiums instead of just one. Can't find them for delivery in the UK yet though (or UK plugs).





All of our original orange guns are still going strong. We have never managed to break one of them yet, using them all day, everyday. So hoping these new red ones will also be long term pukka.
