The new owners are a lovely couple, it's just the same as when the last owners had it.

Hi, got back yesterday from desire.. was a tough week compared to previous times I've been...our group had around 40takes for the week several 40,s and couple 50,s ...crays we're pestering us all week, I'd suggest some shrink wrap or armo mesh.. pegs 2,3,4,7 did most the bites... we found fishing not to tight(2rod lengths ) to far bank produces more fish than the rods that were fished tight... all lads used bait boats I opted to find an area and spomb a lot of bait out.. this worked in my favour has once the bites started coming I caught consistent on the baited spot and finished the week with the most fish! The food package was good full English everyday and cooked tea with desert ! The lake is shut this week so they Shouid be hungry when you arrive ... any more help I can give just ask 👍🏻

Thanks for the info mate. There isn't much info online at all, is there a lake map with depths etc from each swim? Any particular baits or mixes work well? Was looking at purchasing some of the particle there along with some boilie. Any info would be great, thanks.

No they're not up to date with there Facebook reports...if you pm me your number I can get you a lake map over ...I found boilies only produced more fish than boilie/particle mixes....we used bait works creamino and essential cell... we did purchase particle.. I suggest to just get maize has the mixed particle of 25kg prob was 24kg maize..1kg hemp!!

All pegs fish well on there day ..4/5 are the most productive pegs however hits can be had from most pegs !!

Morning All,

Has anyone been to Lake Desire 1, since September last year, a group of us will be going this September and just wondered if there was any new info out there that could help us?

Many thanks in advance for any responses 😀

Unfortunately far from its glory days. Big fish kill and the owner is a bit of a plonker. From it being our regular social, I’ll never go back.
Hope you catch a few though!

Last time i went there it was full of chats. We literally filled a dustbin with them over a week. The chicken was funny tho and the firepit area is good for a social.

Sorry no up to date info but for what its worth
I went about 5 years ago. The water was a blue colour caused by a weed killing chemical, unusual but not a problem.
No chats at all.
Food was ok.
Bailiff told everyone to use a baitboat and not to cast, I found that irritating.
They were fussy about keeping the prim and proper.
There was a dog that chased you if you ran to your rods
Best swims were on the point
Great lake for a social with the firepit and wooden gazebo.
Overall I enjoyed it
