I was saving money aside for the pack of 2 x K9 bite alarms with a receiver which are USB rechargeable and they had great reviews and was £109 but have now noticed they are no longer on Amazon. Does anyone know why? Will they be back? I'm very disappointed they are not on their....

Looking at an old post on their Facebook page the K9 ceased production in 2019 so the ones on Amazon must have been the last of stock. The K9 have been superseeded by the K9s
Can anyone recommend a good rechargeable bite alarm set of 2 with receiver for around the same price please?

Why rechargeable? The batteries in alarms last such a long time normally that it's basically not even worth worrying about.
Personally I'd be looking at these for a little above your budget

Most alarms have batteries , the reason being you can change them mid session. Rechargeable alarms are a bad idea

Agreed, but during lockdown, my 2 lads were going through batteries really quickly, it's like they were eating them for breakfast, got half a shoe box full after about 9 months. So I invested in a dual AA/AAA charger and a couple of dozen rechargeable batteries. Now, no more disposing of batteries, the box is still half full. So that's what I will be switching to when my current disposable batteries run out. AAA's in my Prologic's and AA's in my sons Fox's alarms.

Because I worry they will run out during the night when I'm asleep and most things are becoming rechargeable now and I have a powerbank. I like things that show a indication of how much power they have left too.

Batteries in alarms don't just run out, they have low battery indication of some sort, usually a tone.

The new direction S9 is good and rechargeable. Links with all the ND lights etc. if you like that (I do).

Bought a set of the S9 at the north west angling show few years back. Packed in after less than 18 months. The phone app is poor and just a novelty to be honest. Changing the settings by the receiver is also just hard work. Much rather just have a button or wheel on the head. It's less hassle.
The stuff I've had from new direction is generally poor. Quality control seems to be an issue. I have avoided since and stuck to the recognised brands I've always bought from. Personally would spend the money on a set of fox mini microns or mx.

I agree that adjusting the alarms with the receiver is a bit of a faff, but i find it easy with the phone app. ND stuff does seem to split opinion with variable experiences (which supports your thoughts about quality control) but my own experience is that ND stuff has been fit for purpose even when there doesn't seem to be much purpose (I'm thinking of my halo bucket here).

I had the same with the k9's
Within the first two months the receiver went ND replaced it under warranty it was detecting bite everytime it was moved slightly strange
Then just after two years old had one alarm go completely and i couldnt buy a replacement and ND wouldnt fix it even for a price
So never again went and got fox rx+

I've heard/read many stories like this about ND alarms over the years since they released their first alarms. You simply don't see the same stuff written about other brands.
I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole personally.

Why do people bother with these cheep alarms the fox mini micron if you need a receiver is good or if you prefer the delkim ev d if you don't want a receiver delkim customer service is very good

It's a shame as have been looking at the ND k9s alarms as they have a few features that would have been useful to me but given the feedback on here think I'll stick with my basic JRCs
