If I'm looking on line
It will be either

Johnson Ross
Browns
Tackle box
Total fishing tackle
Most of the time I will go to my Local shop for “regular”bits but he only stockS ordinary brands like

Korda
Fox
Nash
ESP
Anything other than those means shopping's their other shops
I always ask him if he can get the Other brands I want first

There's a few good ones on eBay, just check their feedback to see which ones, apart from that you can't beat Johnson Ross or The Tackle Box 👍

Tackle box or total fishing tackle. Never had a problem with either and both dispatch quickly

If your going to use regularly then it's worth getting TFTs next day delivery on every purchase for 12 quid a year

For the cheapest deal on the day shop around any of the names mentioned. For me the best on line tackle shop providing the best and fullest service has to be the Tackle Box Dartford. Personal opinion based on long experience.

Poingdestres, Bristol Angling, Tackle Shop, Johnsons, Angling Direct, Total Fishing Tackle and the bay.
If you can find it - Tradtackle on ebay is cheap for end tackle - I hate spending £3 for 20 quick links - when you can get 50 for the same price!

Wierd how hardly any support for angling direct. They are growing so fast at the cost of some long standing companies. It doesn't look good for the angler if it carries on this way. I can see more retailers selling on their own websites if angling direct start to dictate the prices to them

Can't help but think they are growing to fast. Buying up all the competition but you still have to sell tackle they must have a serious cash flow issue, prime for going under

I tend to not use TFT as unless you're dealing with the warehouse manager the customer service is pretty dismal. And there is no phone to ring to tangible human being sort of contact to speak about any issues it's all call back.

Having said that I'm impressed with how the warehouse manager eventually sorted out an issue I just wish it didn't take months and months for them to be notified of the situation

If my local doesn't have what I want it's then a call to poingdesters and if no joy there it's yateley angling, johnson Ross or the tackle box. Placed an order with johnson Ross late last night, email received at 10.30 am this morning saying order processed and received another e mail saying it was with FedEx and should arrive tomorrow.

Tackle Box in person and Tackle Box online when I can't hack driving through the tunnel

Excellent service either way, plus they pick up the phone and answer emails if you can't make it in. The other shops (with the exception of JR but FedEx is rubbish round my way) could learn a thing or two about how to run a business.

The guys at FishOn are good.

I've not used them for mail order recently. I used to work in Tunbridge Wells so it was only a 10min drive in my lunch hour to go shopping there.

Good to hear, I have brought smaller items from them in the past it appears but looking at making a bigger purchase that as you say is the best price I have found! I just wanted to be sure that if I need any assistance in the future I wouldn't regret using them 👍🏻

That could be dangerous! The company I work for have a branch less than 10 minutes walk from my local tackle store and I was offered a transfer.... I'd spend my wages on my lunch break if I did that!

The 10% discount with fish on tackle courtesy of the cypography subscription makes both angling 4 less and fish on tackle the same price for what I'm looking at buying. As I stated in the previous reply I just wanted to check I wouldn't regret it should I need any assistance in the future.

Cheers again 👍🏻

Not a direct shop, but https://www.tackleiq.co.uk/ is a decent price comparison site for carp tackle here in the UK
