Hello Gents,
Typically I use tigernuts or
fake corn due to turtles here in the US. Planning to make boilies and some hard hookbaits for the first time as I have some flavors to play with. Was going to use one of the basic soya/semolina/corn flour recipes for the base.I thought I’d ask the huge collective of know-how here due to what I need to dial in…
1.I want to make the hookbaits very hard to slow the turtles.
2. I’d like them to leak flavor pretty hard as I can only fish 2 to 3 hours max usually.
I’ve seen albumen mentioned to harden and also just dry them longer. Is one better than the other? Both? I’m assuming a good leak rate is probably not possible when needing to be turtle-resistant? I’ve read crayfish are annoying there in the same vein as turtles here.
Apologies for any ignorance, thanks so much!
PS… have some JB plum, and forgotten flavours secret spice to play with, if it matters.
