have just bought a set of Harrison Aviator Flex blanks. A friend of mine will build these up.
I am still unsure though what guides and guide spacing I should use for these rods.
I am thinking about a 40mm in a 6+1 or 7+1 configuration with either a 12 or 16mm tip.
Some rodmakers here though recommend more guides and probably single leg guides so I am keen to hear opinions and maybe measurements about how to ideally build these blanks up.
Of course these are not for ultimate range so I rather want a good, general carp rod for distances up to maybe a max of 100 yards with a stringer or small bag if possible and 18-20lbs line.
