Been looking at getting a new hook sharpening file. Seen the vallorbe Swiss file, not sure weather to get the pillar file or hand file? What's the difference between the two? Thanks
Vallorbe will be good as any other high quality metal file. Just avoid the carp brands and you will be fine.
I am using a rechargeable cheapo Chinese dremel tool with a small carborundum disc of good quality and have never looked back.
Extremely efficient and you can take little or a lot of material off. Easy to handle and control. Easier to control then a hand file.
Works the business for me and cost me less then 20 Euros all in all here.
