We have booked out Dove lake second weekend of August down at Hawkhurst.

Anyone fished it recently? if so, fishing well?

I'd ring the tackle shop a couple of days before you go , if I was you. Whatever information you get now, a lot can change in 3 weeks.

Fair comment and will definitely do that!

Must have been people on here who have fished it, any recommendations on what the lake reacts well too? Minimal bait/big beds of bait etc

That again can all depend on the weather. One person may have had multiple fish in a session by filling it in. The next person may have blanked. It could be super high pressure and 35 degrees when you go. Last thing you want to do is spod in 10kilo of bait just because matey on here says that's how to approach the place

Keep in mind that someone who blanked fishing one particular way might just literally be down to watercraft of lack of it. They could also have just not been on the fish during their session

Stick to what you are confident in , find the fish and take it from there
