Once my trusty ancient Fox Micron ES alarms get plonked on display later in the year, i'll be looking at getting a set of 3+1 alarms. The CarpSounders seem to fit the bill for me. I'm allergic to paying over the odds for mass produced Chinese *****, so the CarpSounders seem to fit the bill for me.

Anyone have a set? Any long term issues? Whats the deal with sending them off to Germany for repairs if required?

I have had two sets so far: XRS and AGE models. The only issue I would like to mention is that the threads are very short, and Carpsounder effectively refuses to send any accessories or products to the UK. You will need to remove the locking nut for any type of thick bobbin hanger.

I have not had to send them for repair, but it is likely that they would refuse to repair them if necessary. When I inquired about longer threads and a lanyard for the receiver, they ceased responding to my emails altogether.

These alarms are excellent, and I will purchase the Pros when I return to Germany in the summer.

I think there's a good deal to be had between a decent UK store and Carpsounder.... Hopefully in the future will see a stockist.
