I have a tri-porter barrow which I bought off eBay several years ago. It was an excellent demo version that carp porter had used at shows and came with puncture proof wheels and an under barrow bag - the one with a sloping side on it. The bag is one that has to be velcroed and buckled in and it takes ages to set up. Would the carp porter drop in bags fit and solve this problem?

I do not know the Tri porter Barrow, but when I used to use a barrow a lot, I got a plastic stacking box from the likes of B&M or Wilco's which fitted in the "Hole" for underbarrow bags in the framework pefectly. It was perfect as it did not need fixing into the barrow and when I got to my swim, I could lift the box straight out and into the bivvy, as it had a lid, I could use it as a table and if there was no room in the bivvy for it, I could leave it outside the bivvy and as it was all plastic with a lid, it did not matter if it rained.

And when it came to packing up, I could do it in the bivvy, and then lift it out and back into the barrow.

Usually I kept all my food in it and cooking equipment and waterproofs etc, so rats and mice could not get in and as it was clear plastic, I could see things inside without having to rummage about.

My barrow even allowed me to fit another smaller storage box into the frame of the barrow above the front wheel which I kept all my bait in

The worst thing I ever did was buy an underbarrow bag as it was a lot of messing about packing it and unpacking it, plus, it was not readily available to remove and put in the bivvy. Plus, when I got to the car, I had to unpack it so that I could collapse the barrow and put it in the car and also have to pack it when I opened the barrow up when I got to the pond. With a box, I could pack the plastic box and remove it fully packed to put in the car.

Barrow manufacturers missed a trick by not making an underbarrow storage box out of plastic or fibreglass etc.
