I've never tried this, but thinking out loud... would one of the larger tyre liner/tyre repair patches - tractor tyre size, work?
Assuming it's a rubber type material wader.

Tape on the inside to hold everything in place, Aquasure on the outside to do the repair, more Aquasure on the inside when it's cured if you have any doubts but it wouldn't be necessary.

Just done a few little repairs on mine.
Instead of a brush, I used a Kids' Glue Spreader.
A 5 Pack for £1.00, from Hobbycraft, which you can wipe clean and re use, unlike a brush.
Just be careful when you shop, that you get the better value 28 gram tube for around £10.00 and NOT THE 2 X 7g tubes for £10.00

Thanks guys, much appreciated. When pulling the tear together there is some material missing so a cm long gap of a few ml. Will this still repair as stated or would i be better fixing a patch over it with the Aquasure?

Aquasure will fill any gaps, the temporary tape on the inside will keep it in place.
Nothing else needed.
