Hi all,
I'm looking to upgrade my original Avid Benchmark. Still looking for something as comfortable but ideally lighter? Any suggestions?

Have you tried just sleeping on the floor? Cheaper, more comfortable, more reliable, less likely to snap on you and planet earth is arguably lighter than an avid bedchair

If not, I quite rate the solar sp-c bed

Ive had no issues with my original Benchmark to be fair. Comfort wise it's been great although like you say it weighs a ton.
With it being a good 10 years old at a guess, I thought there'd be an equivalent (or better) out there that weighs less.
Currently use a big snooze with it and when it drops to the low singles I do feel the chill at times.

I had the Avid bench mark
Bought it when my back was playing up, not for comfort but for the height as I was struggling to get up and the in thing was low legged bedchairs
But god it was comfortable and loved the head rest part you could tilt
But my god it was bulky the way it folded up and heavy
Ended up getting rid cos of having to carry it round the lake

Why not get the avid benchmark lite? I've got it and get a great sleep on its and full sleep system at under 10kg

Had the original Rest Bite then Benchmark and now have a Solar SP awesome bedchair.
