Before anyone spends their hard earnt money booking Teillats these days here is an honest account of what it is really like, not the utter bull*hit on their FB page.
Its full of bream and cat fish which make your week miserable
The bailiff might get a keep net for them if your lucky
The bailiff is a pot head, forget the rules
The carp cradles provided are full of holes where the rats have chewed them
Swims are not great especially if you need to use a boat
No facilities
Yes there are some nice carp in there, but Teillats is living off past reputation and lacks any obvious investment.
Why bother to post, as others will no doubt say its fine and defend it, however its a lot of cost and effort to go to France these days so better to know what you are letting yourself in for than not. There are many better places to go.
We all agreed that we would never go back.

I've not heard much about Teillatts lately.
Is it still run by John and Simon Haldane, who were/are known Dartford anglers.
Last I heard. which is some years ago is they done an all inclusive package including transport and food.
Facilities were sparse though, no proper toilets and you had travel off site for a shower, food was stored in a hole in the ground.
Seems that's changed now and it's drive and survive only.
What's the toilet and shower situation nowadays?

I've fished Teilliats for years and realise it don't have the best facilities but I've always found the fishing good had the bare in May at 79-12, had other numerous big fish also, the catfish were a lot worse years ago and if I'm honest I haven't been pestered that much by bream, can't be many waters in France that hold close to 20+ 60s over 50 x 50s and some of the big ones from a couple of years ago 70+ haven't came out and thought they have been very honest about telling everyone about the bare dying, I'm back on next weekend and find it a great spot, granted it does need an investment on bits but I'm sure Si and Jon will sort it 👍

Morning, there is a toilet cubicle connected to cesspool apparently, there are no other facilities or running water. I didn't go round to the toilet to be fair. I guess Teillats is what it is and those that do go probably accept that. I honestly lost count of the double figure bream and cats we caught, it was night and day. Cant see how you can enjoy yourself when that is going on, but we are all different so good luck to those who do go, but as I said before there are so many better places to spend your money in my opinion.

Have they got a siret number available yet? There was a very heated thread on here a few years ago and one of the contentious points was a lack of a siret number at that time.
Iv got a big group of mates who have been an awful lot over the years . They have been 3 times in the last two years . They have great results , loads of 40's 50's and a few 60's thrown in .
It can't fish well every week . It's only a matter of time .before something replaces the bare fish as the lakes giant .
Definitely lots of bream and cats but when there is that many big carp getting caught but also lots of big carp
As for the bailiff , I know Colin personally . You would be hard pressed to find a bailiff with more big carp experience than col
I do agree about the facilities, they could be improved . A nice shower would be a great addition

Last post.
Not sure I would agree with you re "find a bailiff with more big carp experience than col".
He is a pot head so not sure he can look after himself let alone the carp.
Also I don't see how he could know how many carp get caught every week as he hardly ever comes and sees you to find out, hence its bull sh*t on their FB page.

Find Colin spot on, full of info and leaves you to it, always flying about when I was there, regarding showers etc I don't think they can get planning, stock wise don't think there will be many venues with that many 50lb+ fish

Col has the skills that I appreciate in a bailiff. Says hello and then just lets you get on with your fishing and doesn't bother you at all...

Can you drop rigs with the rowing boat or just bait up?
