Has anyone got experience which using either of the above mentioned rods?
I have a friend maybe selling his 3lb Hi S rods... just wondering what they are like for casting? Just worried they might be too soft given I have mainly used 3.25 or 3.5 tc over the last 5 years or so
Or whether I might be better to look at S lite IVE's
Lakes I'm fishing are small but sometimes you need to be able to cast 100-110 yards to the far side for the bites

The 3lb hi s are superb rods. There proper fishing rods and are lovely to play fish on. You will hit 100 yards no problem with just a lead and a bait. They would be my choice if your fishing smaller lakes like you say. You definitely dont need the s'ives. The s'ives have those hiddeous 50mm rings as well 🤮
