Mini review following a recent trip. For the avoidance of doubt, I have no connection with the business and visited as a paying customer.
Ruby lake is a developing venue and at the moment, if you want whackers, this may not be the place for you.
However, my experience at the lake totally exceeded my expectations in difficult conditions. Weather was 30 degrees most days. I was one of a party of 8. Only one of didn't catch but we had a decent week, considering the conditions of the weather and almost getting wiped out on the Saturday evening by a hurricane strength storm.
I had 9 takes, 7 fish@ 32, 37, 37. 40, 41, 41 and 42. We had 4 other 40's to 48. The fish are young and growing fast and every one pulled your arm off. The showers and facilities are very good and food packages are available. Not sure why the loo isn't separate as it means you can't go if the 2 showers are occupied, but that's a very minor quibble.
Charlie the bailiff and Gavin look after you really well and nothing is too much trouble. The mixed particle is reasonably priced and there are freezers for bait, but house bait is available if you want it.

Ahhhh. OK. Was gonna say if there's 8 or more going to make sure to spread out. I think some of our group made a mistake by a) doubling up and b) fishing the same bits of water in 2, 3, 8 and 9. Hope you have a great time.
