Hi all, just wondering if anyone has been fishing the Avon for carp recently? Is it fishing well?

Hi, I currently live in fordingbridge.

I see lots of fly fisherman going for the trout by the big bridge, its VERY shallow at that point. When ever I walk anywhere near the river, I am always looking for fish and i have never seen a carp.

I think you need to be a RDAA to fish the stretch next to the park. I have heard that some of the shops that back onto the river will allow you to fish from their land for a price, not sure which one though.
